Jgroup: Enhancing Jini with Group Communication

چکیده

Reliable group communication is an important technology for building fault-tolerant applications. Yet, some of the major frameworks for distributed application development (e.g., Corba, Jini and Enterprise JavaBeans) lack support for this paradigm. We claim that this situation constitutes a major obstacle to a broader diffusion of reliable group communication in industrial applications. In this paper, we discuss some of the main issues related to integrating reliable group communication and Jini. 1.
